After Brandon and I got back from Omaha, Analise and I joined Sarah, Kaleb and Aaron at the mall. Three Husker players were there for autographs. And those three drew in a HUGE crowd. It was like black Friday but just for one store.
We waited in line almost two hours....and we never got to meet them. :(
The guys had to leave, and we were within minutes of meeting them. Analise was oh.so.sad. She loves Rex Burkhead.
After that announcement was made, I took her to the store entrance knowing they would walk right next to her. They did, but it didn't perk her up.
The boys did a little shoe shopping towards the back of the store, and I noticed the players walking right towards us. So I told them hi, whacked Analise to get her attention so she could tell them hi, and yet she was still bummed she didn't get their autograph.
I kept reminding her that she got to tell them hi.

Three weeks later Analise comes running out of school, gets my attention and says something so fast I have no idea what she is conveying to me. I just know I never see her this excited.
She had just met Brett Maher at school and got his autograph. Thank you Lord, that you gave her this good experience after such a downer at the mall.
