Blessed on Christmas Day

Thankfully the girls slept in on Christmas morning. I think Sadie was the first one up around 7:45. I was already up getting ready and breakfast in the oven. Needless to say, the girls were excited.
Before:

They were acting silly before opening stockings. They got gum, toothbrushes and toothpaste, Fish crackers, Gatorade/Vitamin Water, puzzles, hair things...stuff like that.

Grandmom added Zhu Zhu pets to their stockings. They were thrilled!

After stockings we had our breakfast or sausage egg casserole (thanks to mom and dad) and cinnamon twist coffeecake. And Maisie had blackberries, thanks to Santa putting some in her stocking.

After breakfast was cleaned up, we took our time opening gifts, one by one, starting with the youngest.
Maisie loved her new princess towel.

And Sadie got a new sweater, but what I really liked about this picture was Maisie acting silly in the background.

Thanks mom and dad for my new reader! Love it already.

Grandmom opening the tradional calendar I made for her.

Hopefully this watch will help Analise learn to tell time.

Maisie had called and asked Grandmom to get her some new undies. The smile indicates she was pleased.

Brandon's turn to open his calendar for work. Lord willing he will be in the office a lot more this next year to see it.

They each had one gift to open from Santa...gifts to share.

Maisie opened the new remote controlled car.

My sister got my folks (and me) giftcards to fly down and see her in FL.

I asked Brandon for a new mop, and I got one with a kind message on the bag.

Analise got a gift she has been asking for for almost two years. She was so excited! Let's just say she had headphones on most of the day. :)

The after mess:

It was nice enough to go outside and play with some news toys. Here is Grandmom helping Sadie shoot her new basketball.

Pops and Analise played with the new toy out front.

I don't think Analise hit herself like it looks...

Later in the afternoon we went over to join the local family. We were able to get a picture of my family.

Uncle D picked out this new texting toy for Sadie. It's been a hit.

We got the boys a Wii Nascar game, and Brandon got them each their own Nascar car while in NC.

Here are the girls with Aunt S and Uncle D.

Sadie couldn't believe she had such a big gift to open.
And here she is the next day enjoying that big gift.

After the kids opened gifts, we had a delicious family meal of prime rib, cheesy potatoes, and many more goodies. The best part of Christmas is celebrating Christ's birth with family!
