We participated in the library's reading program again this summer. Not only did we read at home, but we also went to some of their activities. We went to their "Crafternoon" a couple of times and met some friends there to make it even more fun.
One afternoon we had the opportunity to go up and see some really different animals. A lady talked about them for about an hour, and the girls were starting to get antsy. However, when she was finished, they were allowed to walk by all the animals to see them up close and pet them. This is great for my "hand's on learner" Maisie.
Here they are petting a chinchilla. Analise kept asking to get one.
It's probably one of the softest things I have ever touched.
And all three pet a snake.
There was even a lemur on a leash; it was so fun to watch it! Not everyday do we get to pet a lemur.
