Adam's Falls and RMNP

(Side note. We just switched internet providers. Instead of each picture taking about 5 minutes to upload, it takes about 15 seconds. Woo-hoo) That is good for a blogger who posts lots of pictures!
Consider yourself warned.

Thursday morning our family went out for a day of fun. My friend whom I had met earlier in the week had mentioned a good, short hike for the girls. It turned out to be the perfect hike for us, and other family members ended up taking the hike, too.
This picture is on our drive there. Grandma had bought Bubble Yum for the grandkids. On the 30 minute drive there, all three girls learned how to blow a bubble. Yep - Sadie learned the same day as Analise. You should have heard the laughter and excitement in the van over each bubble. One time gum went flying across the van.
Sadie blowing a bubble.

Ready to hike Adam's Falls...a half mile walk to a beautiful destination.

Ta-da...we made it and loved it!

I was so enamoured by the pretty falls, I almost forgot about the other scenery around me. Not too shabby. :)

Me with Maisie - even she didn't complain about the hiking or heat.

Further up the stream the girls had fun sitting by the water and throwing in rocks. It was so peaceful.

Grand Lake - love

We drove into town and ate at a quaint pizza place. As we left we ran into Aunt Sarena and Uncle Dave. How fun!

We left Grand Lake after some souviner shopping to take the girls back into the park with the goal of finding moose.
We first came upon some more elk.

Maisie thought of this on her own; she's an elk, too!
Back up the visitor center - this time with the girls

On our way back down. Analise had been SO bummed that she hadn't seen any moose, so we encouraged her to pray about it.

God answered prayer - and not with just one moose but several in a field.
We were all so excited.

Our house from the main road

That night we celebrated Aunt Sarena's birthday. A yummy meal on the deck overlooking the mountains - a birthday celebration to remember.

Out of all the souvenir shops and things to chose from, Analise and cousin B chose the same shirt in different colors.
Maisie chose this pink shirt.

Men and their binaculors.

Thursday was another memorable day!
