Once upon a time, a couple of months ago...
We had family over for a chili dinner. It was fun to get together, and I enjoyed having company. (We don't do that much due to a small house.) The dinner was good, the kids laughed and played and the adults enjoyed conversation.
We had a snow day, and since there was no school, Brandon left work a bit early so we could all go sledding. I love the simplicity and family time of sledding.
Caramel loves it, too.
Another time we went sledding, family joined us. The more the merrier. Even Sarena and Danny were able to join us.
An afternoon at the park to exercise the dog.
This would be Maisie and Sadie's pajama drawer. They fold them and then put them away. Or just stuff them in the drawer. :)
I don't remember why this note was written, but I'm glad to have a picture of the sweet note Maisie wrote.
The girls and I enjoyed making cake pops. It gets easier the older they get.
After dinner one night, the girls were inspired to raid the dress up clothes container.
The girls enjoying kinetic sand
Sadie missed some school because of a fever.
One night we played Sequence States and Capitals; Sadie saw Florida and called it a gun.
During the last week of Christmas break, I got the itch to really clean/organize. I finally had Analise join me for a big clean in her room. Her dresser looked like this when we started. However, I caught her in a good moment; she was ready and willing to part with things!
This was a little lamp that we'd bought before Analise was born for the nursery. The cord has been broken for years, and I finally decided I didn't need it anymore.
We put current pictures in her picture frames; one didn't get changed though. This picture of her and Aaron was just too cute not to keep.
Analise even parted with this ear of corn; she got it on her first combine ride.
Ta-da!
Another day at the park walking Caramel. It was a nicer day, but it also meant more mud.
Sadie using her new Christmas gift - her own shammy.
And just like that, my least favorite month of the year was over. I'm glad we filled it with good memories!
